After using these for several weeks, I feel like I can give solid feedback on these. The shampoo bar lathers with a bit of effort, but I can build up enough product to wash my hair. After rinsing this out, my hair feels noticeably dry. I would say it's more dry than other products I typically use, so I'm not particularly a fan of that. The conditioner bar is okay as a light conditioner, but I don't feel like it adds much to my hair health.
Overall, the set is better than other shampoo and conditioner bars I've used in the past, but I'm still not a huge fan of the bar format in general because the formulas tend to be more drying than a liquid product.

I love this duo. I love the smell and its hot great slip. I Ghanaian which kinky hair and this works great with it. Im most impressed with the conditioner and how well it conditions for me. I wish it wasn't as fragrant as it is but its still bearable. I will definitely buy again especially for traveling. And i love that its color coded so you cant mix it up. Orange is shampoo and purple the conditioner.

This shampoo and conditioner bar set comes in a nice box, in nice packaging. The box states how to use and ingredients.
The ingredients are fine, except for the last ingredient: preservative. It doesn’t specify which preservative is used. I don’t like that at all.
The bars are wrapped well, so they are a bit difficult to unwrap.
The bars both smell nice, nothing specific about the scents though. It’s hard to tell which is which after a while but by colour you can. Shampoo bar is orange and conditioner is purple.
The shampoo bar lathers up, it’s a bit harder to lather but does feel like it takes away the oils. Interesting as I don’t see how the ingredients clean the hair efficiently.
The conditioner bar does feel like it conditions.
These are easy to use and feel durable, but it does bother me that the “preservative” part is vague. I personally prefer using my regular shampoo and conditioner as it feels I’m more effective and a lot less expensive.

Love this set! Shampoo lathers easily for a shampoo bar that can be more effort than liquid shampoo. Rinses cleanly. Conditioner bar is a little more difficult to get a decent coat on my hair (medium long length, on the thinner side.)
The smell is nice. Earthy. I often enjoy stronger perfumy scents, but I'm sure this is much better for my hair and overall health not having all the chemicals.

I was pleasantly surprised with how well the Livaclean shampoo bar lathered up. It seems a little goes a long way and with continued use does not build up in my fine, thin hair. I was a little nervous about the Spirulina scent being too strong, but it isn't overpowering and is quite pleasant. The shampoo rinses very well out of my hair, but it does leave my hair feeling a bit too "squeaky clean." I do really like the scent of the conditioner bar, which has a light, clean-floral aroma, however it doesn't really feel like it does much conditioning. As much as I tried, I am unable to achieve that typical slip of a bottled conditioner or a different branded conditioner bar I have tried. The use of a separate leave-in conditioner or hair oil is required in order to be able to get a brush through my long hair after a shower. I do appreciate how this 2 pack of bars eliminates some plastic containers in my home. I store these in a soap dish that has a draining liner, which helps keep them from getting all mushy and goopy; this will help them last a bit longer too. While I won't be using these every morning, they definitely will be rotated through my usual hair cycling routine. At $12.99 for both a shampoo and a conditioner, I think these are worth giving a try.

I am picky. I am picky about what I eat, what I wash with, what I brush my teeth with, everything that goes on or in me. I like real, natural, healthy and pure ingredients. These are a great product. They have good ingredients and none of the parades and sulfates we should avoid.
I’m also picky about smells. I’m a female and yet I don’t really like flowery or fruity fragrances. I don’t want to smell like a coconut, a mango, fake fruit smells or a field of flowers. These have a really pleasant smell. Not fruity or flowery, but fresh, clean and just… pleasant. I tend to have dry hair and am always concerned about hair products not specifically meant for dry hair so I will report back on how that goes but so far so good.
These would also be nice for air travel since they aren’t liquid. I would personally cut a small hunk off of each for travel to reduce the footprint and use the bigger pieces at home. Slip them into a labeled baggie so you don’t forget which is which.

Love this shampoo and conditioner set. They have a clean and subtle fragrance and are easy to use. After getting my hair totally wet, I have used the shampoo bar two different ways. The first way was to rub it directly onto my scalp. It seemed to work okay. Then I discovered that if I wet the bar each time before I moved it to different sections of my scalp, it worked great. By doing that, it helped the soap to lather up quicker and I wasn't rubbing my scalp so much. The second way I tried was to lather the bar of soap into my hand and then rub it on my hair. That didn't work too good for me. Since I like to put conditioner only on the ends of my hair and not my scalp, I found that just rubbing the bar of conditioner on the ends of my hair, and wetting the bar each time I moved it to a different position, worked the best for me. I love how this shampoo and conditioner set cleans and conditions my hair! I have noticed a big change in my hair becoming more smooth and healthy. These bars also take up less space than bottles and are easier to travel with. Great products!

I was very happy with the way the shampoo lathered up. The conditioner left my hair feeling clean, light, and conditioned. My hair is nice and shiny after using this. I love that the packaging is so environmentally friendly as well. There are no plastic bottles. I think that this makes an ideal choice for travel as well, because there is nothing to spill. I found this shampoo and conditioner very easy to use, and would definitely purchase this product again. This would also make for a nice gift for someone. I felt at the time it was ordered that it was a decent value.

- The box came with a plastic seal over it which I appreciate. As soon as I removed the plastic I could smell shampoo and conditioner. I think it smells good! Very light and fruity.
- I am impressed with the size of these bars. I find that many shampoo or conditioner bars tend to be much smaller; often more like half the size of these.
- I love the very short ingredient lists! But it is worth noting that ‘Natural Fragrance’ is listed in both the shampoo and conditioner ingredients lists. If you are sensitive to fragrance. This could be an irritant.
- The shampoo bar lathers very well in your hands and makes my scalp feel very clean. I usually wash twice but honestly I don’t think it’s needed with this bar. The conditioner bar will definitely take some getting used to. It doesn’t leave the same silky feeling of a normal conditioner but I admit that my hair didn’t feel dry afterwards.
- While I do really like that these are sulphate and paraben free, I’m not sure that this is something that I would use 100% of the time. Sulphates can be problematic, but they also help to clean away product buildup and sweat/oil.
- This product is currently about $13, which given the size of the bars is a great deal! I will be using these every time I travel. This is going to save me a lot of money since I won’t have to buy travel size shampoo and conditioner!

There is a lot to like about these bars. They will last forever! The scent is subtle and I didn't find it to linger in my hair. The sleeves fit back on when the bar is dry so you know which is which by the different colors.
I have very thick and coarse hair so with that being said I rubbed this around in my hair, over the sink, for a few minutes. Arms were getting tired. It was a little hard to work the soap in deep.
I then tried the conditioner. It did better than I expected as it didn't feel like my hair was getting conditioned. I figured this would cause my hair to look dry and coarse. This was also difficult to work into my hair.
I applied my normal heat protection to my hair and styled as usual. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my hair behaved as normal.
I did intend on using these for travel but these are full size like soap bars. Also, having short hair would be much easier to work both the shampoo and conditioner in.
The current price of $13 is great as these will last forever.

I am impressed with what these bars can do. There are 2 bars in the package. One is for shampoo, and the other is for conditioner. They are so neatly wrapped that you know it is going to be a high-quality product! Both smell great and lather very nicely. When I get in the shower, I wet my hair and then rub the shampoo bar first in my hands. It lathers up quickly, and I spread the lather throughout my hair. It rinses out well, and I feel like my hair is very clean. Then I repeat the same steps with the conditioner bar. It also lathers well and spreads evenly over my hair. After my shower, I feel like my hair feels and looks great! I have curly hair, and it seems a lot less frizzy. My husband has commented how nice my hair smells. I am a woman in my mid 40s, and my hair is thinning. With this being sulfate and paraben free, I feel like it is a great choice for shampoo and conditioner. I am hoping it does help encourage my hair to grow and be stronger. I think this would make a wonderful gift as well. I am really happy with how well it works!

This is the fourth shampoo bar and second conditioner bar I’ve tried, so I have some experience with bars (though I wouldn’t call myself an expert).
The sulfate-free shampoo bar lathers well enough (a shampoo bar bag helps boost lather, but it isn’t necessary). I didn’t find it harsh or stripping on my long, fine, damaged hair. That said, it doesn’t contain many conditioning ingredients, so my hair feels pretty tangled after rinsing.
The conditioner bar helps with detangling, although it does take some effort to work through. I like that it includes hydrolyzed rice protein, which is a nice addition for damaged hair. Like many bar conditioners, it doesn’t contain multiple quats, silicones, or conditioning polymers that you often find in liquid conditioners. Because of that, my hair doesn’t have that ultra-slippery, silky, “coated” feeling afterward.
I had already transitioned to a liquid conditioner without those heavier conditioning agents, so this didn’t feel like a big adjustment for me. However, if you’re new to bar conditioners, or used to very smoothing, silicone-heavy liquid formulas, this one may initially feel like it’s not quite "enough".
I've only used this shampoo and conditioner for about 2 weeks and hair growth products take months to see results, so I can't comment on that aspect of this product. I don't think any of the ingredients are really known for promoting hair growth and that is why I deducted a star. The conditioner bar does have hydrolyzed rice protein, which is generally thought to strengthen hair. It's not additional hair growth, but by reducing breakage hair might grow longer.
Neither bar has much scent, and there’s no added fragrance, which I appreciate. Each bar is 100g, slightly larger than the others I’ve tried and those I've seen for sale. Also, at $14.99 for the set (as of February 2026), the price is lower than many shampoo and conditioner bars that are sold separately. Given the ingredient list and performance, I think it’s a phenomenal value.
Just a note, this product is made in China but it says was designed in the US.
Overall, if you’re looking for a simple, fragrance-free, affordable bar set without heavy silicones or buildup, and don't necessarily care about hair growth, this is a great option.

I recently started using shampoo bars instead of store bought bottle shampoo because they seem to do a lot better for my hair. My hair is thick and frizzy the shampoo cleans it perfectly and the conditioner helps smooth out my hair so its not as frizzy. So far works great on my hair, I do recommend keeping them in a container to stop them from getting wet when not in use, other than that easy to use, manages my hair care well.

I’ve tried a bunch of Livaclean products and they consistently hit the sweet spot between effectiveness and affordability. This shampoo and conditioner bar set is no exception. I have naturally oily, thin hair, and I wasn’t sure how this would work for me but I’m honestly impressed. My hair felt clean and looked nice after using it, without that dry, squeaky feeling some bars leave behind. The ones I've tried in the past that worked well were MUCH pricier and I feel this is equal.
The ingredients are great (bonus points for no sulfates or parabens), and the conditioner didn’t weigh my hair down. This 2 Pack Rice Water Shampoo and Conditioner Bar is a decent duo. These are both full sized bars that are well wrapped. These smell really nice, but I’m not entirely sure what the scent is supposed to be. The ingredients are also not the best in my opinion (what preservatives??), but it does contain actual earthy ingredients. These soap bars are a little hard to collect the soap off of on their own, but adding inside of a soap saver bag (not including), makes it a little bit easier. I found that the shampoo doesn’t lather up very much (not that soap needs to!). It does clean decently well, but a double cleanse is needed if you have oily hair/scalp. The conditioner isn’t thin, even when mixed with water, so it is a little hard to work with. It contains shea butter, so it is a heavier base, so also using too much makes my hair feel a little too flat. My hair is shiny and smooth after using, though. It doesn’t leave any weird residue in my hair after rinsing, and my hair smells clean and feels clean. I think this set is a little too hard to work with for my hair type, but it’s a decent set for travel.
