Plain name. It has held up, because clean turns out to mean four things at once here.

That last one is what we mean by nourishing your soul. It is a small thing. It is also the difference between thinking about your face all day and forgetting it is there.
Why we exist
He never grew out of it
Anthony started breaking out in middle school. Not the occasional spot. Clusters, five or six at a time, along the jaw and across the forehead.
It did not stop. High school, then college, then a working career spent sitting in meetings with a hand half covering his chin. He went through three rounds of Accutane. Anyone who has done it knows about the purge, where your skin gets a lot worse before it gets better, and it comes up in groups.
He still breaks out today. That is worth saying out loud, because Livaclean is not run by somebody who sorted their skin out years ago and moved on to selling the solution.
Hydrocolloid patches helped. Every one he could buy was a small circle, sized for a single pimple sitting politely on its own. That is not how a breakout shows up. You put on a circle, then another, then a third, and you still wake up with the ones in the gaps untouched.
I'd stick on five circles and still miss half the breakout.
So he made bigger ones. Squares. Rectangles. Long strips that cover a whole cluster in a single piece.
Then he stopped settling for absorption. Hydrocolloid pulls, it does not treat, so he had the patches infused with salicylic acid, tea tree oil and calendula to work on the skin underneath while they sat there.
Livaclean started in 2019. There are masks and serums and mists and hair care now, plus a medical line, but the patches are still the reason any of the rest of it exists.

How they are made
Where your patches come from
Every Livaclean patch is made in an FDA-registered manufacturing facility with an ISO 7 (Class 10,000) clean room. Raw materials are inspected and traceable, and an independent QC firm inspects every production run before it ships.

What it costs
A value brand, and we mean that as a boast
Hydrocolloid is hydrocolloid. It is a well understood material, it is made to the standard above, and a good deal of what you pay for elsewhere is the box it arrived in.
So we price by the patch, and it lands in cents rather than dollars. Bigger counts. More sizes in the pack. Enough of them that you stop rationing the good ones and just put one on when you need it.
Acne is not a luxury problem, and it should not carry a luxury price.
Patches first, then everything else
Pimple patches are what we are known for and what we are best at. Circles, squares, rectangles, strips and stars, in counts from 18 to 330, because a spot on your chin and a breakout across your forehead are not the same problem.
Everything we have made since had to clear the same bar. Does it work, and is it priced like we respect you? That turned into face masks and mists, glycolic pads, under eye balm, rice water hair bars and serum capsules, plus a medical line for wound care and diabetic supplies.

That is what we are building toward, and this is our small corner of it. You wake up, the spot is gone, and you spend the day thinking about almost anything else.
There were days I just skipped things. A big one would come up and I would suddenly find a reason not to go, or I would spend the whole night turning my good side toward whoever was talking. A patch is a small object. What it is really doing is getting somebody out of the door.
A lot of our reviews are a parent buying for a teenager. We have a fair idea what that kid is doing, because he did it too.
