Sweet Assembly
Gingerbread House

Follow these 6 easy steps for a perfect, no-fail build every time.

Easy 6-Step Build  ·  Fun for All Ages
1

Step 01

Set Up Your Base

Place the included display tray on a flat, level surface. Snip a small tip off both frosting bags — one is your glue frosting (for building), the other is for decorating.

Pro tip: Keep the glue frosting bag warm in your hands for a minute so it pipes smoothly.
2

Step 02

Decorate Flat First

Lay your wall and roof panels flat on the table. Use the decorating frosting and candy toppings — gumdrops, dots, and buttons — to dress each panel now, while it’s flat. So much easier than decorating a standing house.

Let decorated panels set for a few minutes before building. This is the secret move!
3

Step 03

Glue the Walls

Pipe a generous line of glue frosting along the bottom and side edges of each wall panel. Stand them on the tray and press the corners together so the four walls support each other.

Start with two walls that share a corner, then add the other two. The corners do the holding.
4

Step 04

Hold & Let Set

Gently hold the corners together for about a minute, then let the walls set for a few minutes until they feel solid and stand on their own. The super-strong glue frosting grips fast.

Don’t rush. A short wait now means the roof goes on rock-solid.
5

Step 05

Add the Roof

Pipe glue frosting along the top edges of all four walls. Press the two roof panels into place so they meet at the peak. Hold for a moment, then let set.

Pipe a little extra frosting along the roof ridge to lock both panels together.
6

Step 06

Finish & Show It Off

Pipe frosting “snow” along every seam and the roofline, then go wild with your remaining candy toppings. Set your finished house on the snowy display tray and make it yours!

Frosting along the seams hides joins and adds strength. Then pile on the candy.

A fully decorated Sweet Assembly house — built with the whole family

Your Sweet Assembly kit can look just like this 🏠

Does This Sound Familiar?

  • You bought a gingerbread kit… and half the pieces were broken before you even opened the bag
  • The icing was either too runny to hold anything or so stiff it wouldn’t come out at all
  • The walls kept falling down the moment you tried to decorate them
  • You ran out of candy before you even got to the roof
  • Your kids got frustrated and gave up — or worse, started crying
  • What was supposed to be a magical holiday memory turned into a stressful disaster

“Every time my kids ask for a gingerbread house, I dread it. We’ve tried three different kits and every single one ends the same way — walls on the floor, icing everywhere, and someone crying. Usually me.”

— Real customer review

It’s not your fault. The gingerbread kit industry has been selling you broken promises — and broken pieces — for years. Sweet Assembly was built to fix that.

  • Super-Strong Glue Frosting — Two frosting bags: one to glue, one to decorate. Walls grip and stay put instead of sliding apart. No royal-icing disasters.
  • 6 Fresh-Baked Cookie Pieces — Front, back, two sides, and two roof panels. Vacuum-sealed so they arrive fresh and ready to build.
  • Candy Toppings (1 set) — Gumdrops, dots, and buttons. Enough to finish the whole house, the fun part with zero stress.
  • Display Tray Included — A snowy base your finished house stands on, ready to show off all season long.
  • Arrives Intact — Cushion-protected panels mean no more half-broken pieces before you even open the bag.

Pro Tips for a
Perfect Build

Patience Is the Secret

The #1 reason houses lean: rushing the corners. Hold them together for a full minute and let the walls set before you add the roof. Set a timer and let the glue frosting do its job.

🧁

Two Bags, Two Jobs

Keep them straight: the glue frosting is for building the walls and roof, the decorating frosting is for the fun stuff. Using the right bag for each job is half the battle.

🍬

Decorate Before You Build

Decorating flat panels (Step 2) is the move most people skip. Decorating a standing house is hard. Decorating a panel lying on the table is easy. Do it flat.

🆘

If a Wall Slips

Don’t panic. Wipe off the old frosting, re-pipe a fresh line of glue frosting, press the corner back together, and hold. It grips fast — it will work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the gingerbread actually edible?

Yes. Fresh-baked and delicious. That said, most families display it through the holidays before eating — and it holds up beautifully for 3–4 weeks at room temperature.

How long does it last?

Displayed at room temperature: 3–4 weeks. Vacuum-sealed in the box before opening: check the Best Before date printed on every box. Once opened, keep the gingerbread in an airtight container to stay fresh.

What if a piece breaks in shipping?

Our Triple Promise covers it. Send us a photo of the damage and we’ll make it right.

What age is this for?

Recommended for ages 8 and up, with younger helpers welcome alongside an adult. Heads up: this kit contains small candy parts — not for children under 3 years (choking hazard).

How is this different from other kits?

Our super-strong glue frosting does the heavy lifting. You get two frosting bags — one to glue, one to decorate — so walls actually stay put instead of sliding apart. Add fresh-baked, vacuum-sealed gingerbread and cushion-protected panels that arrive intact, and you skip the two biggest reasons kits fail.

What makes the glue frosting hold so well?

It’s a thicker, stronger frosting made for construction — not the runny royal icing other kits hand you. Pipe it along the seams, hold for a moment, and it grips. Full ingredient list is printed on the box.

What about allergies?

Contains: Wheat (Gluten), Eggs, Milk, Soya, Peanuts, Tree Nuts, and Pork Gelatine. Full allergen and ingredient list is printed on the packaging. If you have specific concerns, contact us before purchasing.
